Published in 2012, a large meta-analysis (looking back at previous work to find other conclusions) proved that athletes can boost performance and more importantly, can help reduce heat related injury.
This study is the fuel for Kryofit Sport. We developed our line of cooling gear and our Targeted Thermal Support (TTS) as a result. Our cold gear "Targets" strategic locations of the body that can help "Support" your body's Thermal regulation.
In other words, TTS sleeves can help heat or cool your body, saving energy that can be used to boost athletic performance. We achieve this by directly cooling the wearer's blood rather than large muscle groups. This allows the athlete to "warm up" their muscles and joints AND keep cooler.
"ABSTRACT: Background Exercise increases core body temperature (Tc), which is necessary to optimize physiological processes. However, excessive increase in Tc may impair performance and places participants at risk for the development of heat-related illnesses. Cooling is an effective strategy to attenuate the increase in Tc. This meta-analysis compares the effects of cooling before (pre-cooling) and during exercise (per-cooling) on performance and physiological outcomes.
